Check out our movie review of Crooklyn! In a special early birthday edition, to celebrate Danielle's birthday Jackie and Danielle travel back to 1994 with the Spike Lee classic Crooklyn. The semi-autobiographical film on the Lees is produced and directed by Spike Lee and co-written with his siblings Joie and Cinqué Lee. The film is a portrait of a school teacher, her stubborn jazz musician husband, and their five kids living in Brooklyn in 1973. The movie stars Alfre Woodard, Delroy Lindo, and newcomer Zelda Harris. Crooklyn also features cameos by RuPaul, Isaiah Washington, Bokeem Woodbine, José Zúñiga, and Spike Lee himself.
