This week on No More Late Fees, Jackie and Danielle are joined by Mike and Mike from Mike and Mike Go to the Movies and The Complete Works to revisit Event Horizon (1997), the cult sci-fi horror film starring Laurence Fishburne and Sam Neill. We're breaking down the terrifying spaceship design, disturbing visions, questionable crew decisions, and the infamous lost footage that was too gruesome for the theatrical cut. Plus, we're talking Paul W.S. Anderson's direction, the film's box office disappointment, its connections to Alien, Hellraiser, and The Shining, and whether this '90s space horror movie deserves its cult classic reputation. With two first-time viewers and two longtime fans, the Ratings Rewind gets interesting. Turns out, not everyone wants a return trip to the Event Horizon.
Would you buy Event Horizon or send it straight back to hell? Let us know in the comments! Like, subscribe, and share your favorite scene or most disturbing moment.
