[00:00:00] [SPEAKER_04]: It's getting Witchy in here. We're back with a Ranking of Our Favorite Witches from Film and TV, So Buckle Up Or Grab Your Bruns.

[00:00:24] [SPEAKER_01]: This week on The No More Late Fees podcast, We Are Join by Stephanie, The Podcasts Are Behind Books In The Freezer, And Our Friend And Returning Gritcast Laura. Welcome, ladies.

[00:00:37] [SPEAKER_05]: Thank you.

[00:00:38] [SPEAKER_04]: You guys, Well, we're super excited. Love always having Laura come back on.

[00:00:44] [SPEAKER_04]: And Stephanie, We Have Been Chitchatting On Instagram for a while feels like we're already good friends,

[00:00:51] [SPEAKER_04]: but, uh, super happy to have you on. I say back because I want you back already.

[00:00:56] [SPEAKER_04]: Why don't you tell everybody about your podcast?

[00:01:00] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so books in the Freezer is a horror book podcast. It's biweekly and the name comes from that friend's episode where Joey puts the shining in the Freezer because it's too scary.

[00:01:19] [SPEAKER_05]: And so it's a book recommendation podcast. So me and a guest will pick a topic or a sub genre like, you know, Vampires, Road Trip, Food Horror, and we'll each recommend three books within that topic.

[00:01:35] [SPEAKER_05]: And then we rank them on a scaringest scale that is temperature based because it's books in the Freezer. So like the scariest books go in the Freezer and then fridge and room temperature.

[00:01:48] [SPEAKER_04]: I feel like all the books will go in the Freezer.

[00:01:52] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm as scary as you can. And he all does not do horror.

[00:01:56] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, I mean, it's subjective. So yeah, I think the scariest things are the things that feel like they can really happen.

[00:02:06] [SPEAKER_04]: Like that's why I think I hate those movies that are where someone comes into your house at night or something that always scares me the most.

[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_04]: So that is.

[00:02:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't want anything I can't kill like if it's a person murdering. Oh, okay, I have a fighting chance. But wait, you give me like the grudge. I'm like, or it follows like there's a way there's a way to win.

[00:02:35] [SPEAKER_04]: That's very valid Jackie very valid.

[00:02:39] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm still scared of things that I can kill as we already know. I hate critters. Yep, specific ones not good. All right.

[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's get into our game.

[00:02:57] [SPEAKER_01]: So we are going to list our top two favorite TV or movie witches and then collectively, we have to ring them from one to eight.

[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_01]: So you might want to back up or two because your witch may be still.

[00:03:16] [SPEAKER_04]: So I'll give us a little time to like think of some that and this could be TV movie and it doesn't have to be in our timeframe.

[00:03:27] [SPEAKER_04]: It's hard. I like a lot of witches.

[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_05]: Stephanie, have you want to go first? Sure. I'll say Sabrina, but specifically the Kieran and ship killing adventures.

[00:03:42] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm saying.

[00:03:43] [SPEAKER_05]: And then should I give my second one too? Sure. Yeah. Okay, my second one. I'm going to say the Blair Witch.

[00:03:48] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, that's good one. I've never seen that movie.

[00:03:54] [SPEAKER_04]: I just know there's a lot of runny nose and stuff.

[00:04:00] [SPEAKER_03]: It's spooky.

[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_03]: There you go. It's a much there we go.

[00:04:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Jackie, do you have yours? I do.

[00:04:11] [SPEAKER_01]: You're going to judge me. I will, but it's okay.

[00:04:15] [SPEAKER_01]: My first one is Hermione Granger. I knew that one was coming.

[00:04:20] [SPEAKER_01]: My second one is about this our Blake from the surcer's a predest.

[00:04:26] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, God, this fucking movie.

[00:04:28] [SPEAKER_04]: It's interesting.

[00:04:33] [SPEAKER_04]: Okay.

[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_04]: That is bad as I thought it was going to be.

[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna be right last.

[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't even notice.

[00:04:43] [SPEAKER_04]: You'll have to fill that one out. Laura.

[00:04:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Lana and Walt the Yates. Obviously the Scarlet Witch.

[00:04:52] [SPEAKER_02]: You love her.

[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_02]: My dog is named after her.

[00:04:56] [SPEAKER_02]: That's a given.

[00:04:58] [SPEAKER_02]: And I was really contemplating all the witches are great, but I'm really feeling the supreme Fiona Good from American poor story.

[00:05:10] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm like that.

[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, I'm right there with you with American poor story.

[00:05:14] [SPEAKER_04]: I've got Marie Leville.

[00:05:16] [SPEAKER_04]: I almost jumped Marie Leville.

[00:05:19] [SPEAKER_04]: You know, Angela Bassett is a bad bitch on my good day, but when she was a bad witch,

[00:05:24] [SPEAKER_04]: she played the hell out of that role.

[00:05:28] [SPEAKER_04]: And then my second favorite is Bonnie Bennett from Vampire Daries.

[00:05:36] [SPEAKER_04]: She deserved better.

[00:05:38] [SPEAKER_04]: That's all I'm gonna say.

[00:05:42] [SPEAKER_04]: I have a my like one that I had just in case someone else had mine was prove from terms because

[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_04]: I felt like after a while, like towards the end of third season,

[00:05:56] [SPEAKER_04]: that bitch was doing everything by herself.

[00:05:58] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, I don't know what the other sister is working for.

[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_04]: She was astro projecting. She was blown shit up.

[00:06:07] [SPEAKER_04]: I can see why what's her face was real scared try to get you got shandon off the show just say.

[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_01]: All right, surprise a resume Nancy from the craft.

[00:06:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, my power gap was a geeky from Kiki's delivery service.

[00:06:25] [SPEAKER_04]: That's a good one.

[00:06:27] [SPEAKER_04]: I wouldn't said teenage, but when I thought about her powers were wasted on a weird man and they're making a a wrap.

[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_04]: And she didn't do anything for her friend and she she was in the a crackhouse with that man. So just never sat right with me.

[00:06:46] [SPEAKER_04]: All right, let's see if we can rank these. This is going to be interesting.

[00:06:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Any nominations by the tower by the scariest witch the most powerful witch.

[00:06:58] [SPEAKER_04]: You know, I don't know if we have any reasoning.

[00:07:02] [SPEAKER_04]: That's fine.

[00:07:03] [SPEAKER_04]: We're just going to find it out. See, see who comes on top.

[00:07:08] [SPEAKER_01]: I would say scarly witches up there for me and then Hermione.

[00:07:14] [SPEAKER_04]: I do love scar that witch, but I think I love her more from the comic books.

[00:07:19] [SPEAKER_04]: I feel like they did well in the TV show, but I feel like they're going to backtrack.

[00:07:26] [SPEAKER_04]: This is just personal nonsense, but backtrack on what Kevin Fiddy said that she was the most powerful person in the MCU.

[00:07:35] [SPEAKER_04]: I feel like they're going to backtrack because the pamboys are ridiculous.

[00:07:41] [SPEAKER_04]: So if they don't backtrack on that, I love to see it. She has so much potential to really fuck shit up.

[00:07:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, that is right. She is the most powerful.

[00:07:52] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes, I'm always down for Hermione.

[00:07:57] [SPEAKER_04]: Stepny, do you have a favorite favorite out of this list?

[00:08:03] [SPEAKER_05]: I am loving the American Horror Story, which is.

[00:08:07] [SPEAKER_05]: I feel like I'm pulled towards them.

[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_04]: Fiona was the blind one.

[00:08:13] [SPEAKER_04]: Will her mom be in crazy?

[00:08:15] [SPEAKER_02]: No, that was the mom. Like she was the head of the cup and before her.

[00:08:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Jessica Lang, right?

[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_02]: Jessica Lang. She was evil.

[00:08:23] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, you've all found that vote for that one.

[00:08:28] [SPEAKER_02]: She did get she did get her come up. She did. She absolutely did. She was powerful.

[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but it's a badass and everything she does always.

[00:08:38] [SPEAKER_01]: We can do Marie Levo is number one.

[00:08:42] [SPEAKER_04]: And I love that it's kind of based on like someone that existed essentially.

[00:08:49] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I just don't want to see her in my dreams.

[00:08:56] [SPEAKER_04]: I would definitely say Hermione would be my second choice.

[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_04]: And because those two idiots would have never gotten through anything without her.

[00:09:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely not. The troll would have killed them.

[00:09:10] [SPEAKER_02]: That would have been the end of the series.

[00:09:14] [SPEAKER_04]: You know, still we have Scarlett Witch definitely.

[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I never watched Sabrina completely through like I think I watched the first few episodes.

[00:09:23] [SPEAKER_04]: But it seems like she was like becoming a bad bitch.

[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_04]: It definitely wasn't RTG.

[00:09:30] [SPEAKER_04]: Version though.

[00:09:32] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm good with Sabrina being number four.

[00:09:35] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:09:36] [SPEAKER_05]: And the bluish messing with people in the woods.

[00:09:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, but the stickers hanging from trees and nothing people leaving people with like the flannels and

[00:09:46] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think I'll sort of noise in the tens.

[00:09:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:09:52] [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe nightmares when I watched it was pretty scary.

[00:09:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but not like it.

[00:09:56] [SPEAKER_02]: We have to watch that one.

[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_01]: It's on point.

[00:10:01] [SPEAKER_01]: No man.

[00:10:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Danielle has to watch saw this here and I am.

[00:10:07] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm not happy about it. I'm really not looking forward to it at all.

[00:10:13] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to have to be just knock me out.

[00:10:17] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm be sedated.

[00:10:20] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm just black out.

[00:10:23] [SPEAKER_04]: Okay, so what else we have Fiona left?

[00:10:27] [SPEAKER_01]: And we can find the star at the bottom.

[00:10:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Where is it from again?

[00:10:34] [SPEAKER_01]: The sorcerer is a premise.

[00:10:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Is that Ken's favorite movie?

[00:10:38] [SPEAKER_04]: No, it's Ken's favorite movie.

[00:10:41] [SPEAKER_04]: It's true, it's true.

[00:10:44] [SPEAKER_04]: I haven't watched it a long time.

[00:10:47] [SPEAKER_04]: Okay, I guess Fiona could come up.

[00:10:53] [SPEAKER_04]: Since I guess none of you guys have watched Vampire Darius, huh?

[00:10:57] [SPEAKER_02]: I was about to say like, I can't speak for Bonnie or towards Bonnie.

[00:11:00] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what she is.

[00:11:02] [SPEAKER_02]: She saved all the white kids every fucking episode.

[00:11:07] [SPEAKER_04]: And then off-screen,

[00:11:09] [SPEAKER_04]: the damn lady behind the show, both, well, bunch of ladies behind the show were extremely racist.

[00:11:15] [SPEAKER_04]: And we're trying to kill her off every goddamn time.

[00:11:18] [SPEAKER_04]: It got so bad that one of the leads had to say, if you tried to kill her off again, I will leave the show.

[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh my god.

[00:11:27] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[00:11:28] [SPEAKER_04]: Wow.

[00:11:29] [SPEAKER_04]: Shame.

[00:11:30] [SPEAKER_04]: Bonnie Bennett is a bad bitch.

[00:11:32] [SPEAKER_04]: And she's only, and I say she's only this low because you guys haven't seen the show.

[00:11:36] [SPEAKER_04]: But everyone else who watches, I know they ain't, they know.

[00:11:40] [SPEAKER_04]: They're on their side.

[00:11:42] [SPEAKER_04]: Just a small party.

[00:11:45] [SPEAKER_04]: All right.

[00:11:46] [SPEAKER_04]: I think that's good.

[00:11:48] [SPEAKER_04]: Good.

[00:11:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:11:50] [SPEAKER_01]: So what do we got, Jackie?

[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_01]: So number one, Marie Levo, number two, Hermione Granger, three Scarlett Witch, four Sabrina from the

[00:11:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Chilling Adventures, five Blair Witch, six Fiona, good.

[00:12:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, I don't look up her off.

[00:12:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Bonnie Bennett at seven and about the star Blake at eight was that the, was that the Nicky.

[00:12:15] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes, cage care.

[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes.

[00:12:17] [SPEAKER_04]: Not the apprentice.

[00:12:18] [SPEAKER_04]: Does he become a witch?

[00:12:20] [SPEAKER_04]: Later.

[00:12:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Are print not a print?

[00:12:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:12:22] [SPEAKER_01]: He has to learn how to be a sorcerer.

[00:12:24] [SPEAKER_04]: I might need to revisit that movie again.

[00:12:27] [SPEAKER_04]: It's based on, it's based on the Disney movie, right?

[00:12:32] [SPEAKER_04]: The, with Mickey Mouse with the Witch powers.

[00:12:34] [SPEAKER_01]: It has some like nods to it, but it's not.

[00:12:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Bullet there.

[00:12:42] Okay.

[00:12:42] [SPEAKER_01]: So we have a question for everyone.

[00:12:44] [SPEAKER_01]: There have been rumblings that we might get a practical magic to know it's full on.

[00:12:50] [SPEAKER_05]: There's a little bit of it.

[00:12:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, we have confirmation that they're getting a practical magic to.

[00:12:58] [SPEAKER_01]: So what are some things we want to see in this sequel?

[00:13:04] [SPEAKER_05]: I want more house. I want to see more of this house.

[00:13:07] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:13:07] [SPEAKER_05]: That is my top top of my wish list.

[00:13:11] [SPEAKER_04]: I want Rachel Evan would be in it because she played as the, the daughter.

[00:13:18] [SPEAKER_04]: She's, she's got a witchy vibe in real life.

[00:13:20] [SPEAKER_04]: So yeah, I'm really hoping that she's in it.

[00:13:24] [SPEAKER_02]: And she's already played a vampire queen.

[00:13:26] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes.

[00:13:27] [SPEAKER_04]: Was it true blood?

[00:13:28] [SPEAKER_02]: True blood?

[00:13:29] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[00:13:30] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. So I want them to go darker.

[00:13:34] [SPEAKER_04]: Because it, like as we talked about before, it was supposed to be darker.

[00:13:40] [SPEAKER_04]: So I wanted to lean into being darker.

[00:13:43] [SPEAKER_02]: I want more magic and I really want to see more of.

[00:13:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Failing, sensible looks power.

[00:13:51] [SPEAKER_02]: They talk about it in the first movie, but we don't really get to see her full potential.

[00:13:55] [SPEAKER_02]: So I want to see that.

[00:13:57] [SPEAKER_04]: And I would like her sister to, they kept saying she had power.

[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_04]: Was it being a slut?

[00:14:03] [SPEAKER_04]: I think we, you know, let me not.

[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_01]: But I want to make sure that stalker chanting and dying was.

[00:14:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:14:16] [SPEAKER_01]: I love them so much as the antees.

[00:14:20] [SPEAKER_01]: And so I'll be really sad if they have like some story or they've left her past.

[00:14:27] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't see why not. Why they wouldn't be in it.

[00:14:30] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, there's a live.

[00:14:32] [SPEAKER_04]: So and I am this one.

[00:14:34] [SPEAKER_04]: I would love that the original director to come back too.

[00:14:38] [SPEAKER_04]: But I haven't seen him sign on yet.

[00:14:40] [SPEAKER_04]: It's just those two, the original, one of the original producers and the composer.

[00:14:47] [SPEAKER_04]: No, I'm not the composer. Sorry.

[00:14:50] [SPEAKER_04]: The writer of the screenplay.

[00:14:52] [SPEAKER_01]: And also kind of like to wreck on and cast the comics.

[00:14:58] [SPEAKER_01]: To make it the other one instead of eating, when like it was supposed to be.

[00:15:03] [SPEAKER_01]: I knew that was supposed to be that.

[00:15:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:15:06] [SPEAKER_04]: He knows he wasn't supposed to be the eating Quinn character.

[00:15:10] [SPEAKER_04]: He was supposed to be the other.

[00:15:11] [SPEAKER_04]: He was just an add-on.

[00:15:13] [SPEAKER_04]: Like if they were supposed to come together like it's partner.

[00:15:15] [SPEAKER_01]: Got it.

[00:15:17] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[00:15:17] [SPEAKER_01]: I want to meet the only font in every movie.

[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, wait.

[00:15:21] [SPEAKER_04]: What is gray hair?

[00:15:23] [SPEAKER_04]: I think it would be Helis Spooky sexy.

[00:15:26] [SPEAKER_01]: He knows how to play a cop.

[00:15:27] [SPEAKER_01]: He was one in just a fun.

[00:15:29] [SPEAKER_01]: That's true.

[00:15:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Very true.

[00:15:32] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, we're going to challenge both of you guys as you know,

[00:15:35] [SPEAKER_04]: we both worked up a lot, butters.

[00:15:37] [SPEAKER_04]: So when we worked there, we were able to provide our employees.

[00:15:41] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, some people not make it.

[00:15:42] [SPEAKER_04]: I never was asked.

[00:15:44] [SPEAKER_04]: But we want to make you honor your employees.

[00:15:47] [SPEAKER_04]: And you guys picked three of your favorite movies that you would recommend to our listeners.

[00:15:54] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my goodness.

[00:15:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Like spooky movies, Halloween movies and any comedy movie pressure.

[00:16:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[00:16:02] [SPEAKER_02]: I think it's not happy.

[00:16:04] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my goodness.

[00:16:05] [SPEAKER_02]: I need it like a week to make the pair.

[00:16:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no reason.

[00:16:09] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to.

[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to come in with the descent for all the time.

[00:16:14] [SPEAKER_04]: I know that's when we have to watch as well.

[00:16:18] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm not ready for it.

[00:16:20] [SPEAKER_05]: It's so good, but it is.

[00:16:22] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm not scared because I know the situation is nothing I would ever do.

[00:16:27] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm never going in no fucking caves.

[00:16:31] [SPEAKER_04]: Probably any who, Stephanie, any other things.

[00:16:35] [SPEAKER_05]: I would have to say the arms family.

[00:16:37] [SPEAKER_05]: One of my all times.

[00:16:39] [SPEAKER_04]: The first one.

[00:16:39] [SPEAKER_04]: The second one.

[00:16:40] [SPEAKER_05]: I know people love this.

[00:16:42] [SPEAKER_05]: I got one, but I have a song for the first one because I had an on the edge.

[00:16:45] [SPEAKER_05]: I watched it like on a consistent loop.

[00:16:48] [SPEAKER_05]: I love the both.

[00:16:52] [SPEAKER_05]: But I love the first one.

[00:16:53] [SPEAKER_05]: I feel like I could quote that movie along with it.

[00:16:56] [SPEAKER_04]: I love that.
